Are Greens Powders Like AG1 Worth The Hype?
Podcast ads and celebrities like to tell you how great they are, but what's the truth?
I never used to consume greens powders, but in the last few years, I got into the trend (my boyfriend is an avid greens powder consumer). I always figured food was a better option than overpriced little buckets of powder until I gave it a shot. Since starting, I have tried many different ones and they are definitely not all made the same.
Some are really sweet — which should be considered more of a fruit powder than a greens powder. Some taste like straight-up grass and some have added things like protein and probiotics. Some have loads of weird fillers in them and some taste like ass.
How do you know which one to choose?
And how do you know if it’s even worth doing?
If the reason that you’re buying greens powder is because Joe Rogan takes it every day, that's not a good enough reason.
Sorry folks. I do like Joe, but don’t fall for the podcast sales pitches and sign up for a monthly subscription for overpriced products, decide for yourself.
