I haven’t been sick in 3 years. Here’s what I’m doing to stay healthy.
In the past month, I’ve had numerous friends calling me for advice about their health because they just keep getting sick. Throughout the pandemic, every single person I know who got sick called me….so this is nothing new. Anyone who personally knows me knows that I’ve always had an interest (Ok, obsession) with how the body works and how to heal illness.
I legitimately spend all of my leisure time reading about new studies, following the top health podcasts, and reading the latest books stating all the new research discoveries from the most respected doctors in the world.
The one thing that I’ve noticed in my 15–20 years of nerding out about the human body is that it may seem like all this research is super complicated and that all these new discoveries and advances are just way too overwhelming to keep up with but really at the end of the day — it’s all super simple. The research always seems to come to the same conclusion after a whole lot of trial and error — or at least, I’ve come to this conclusion after following all the research.
Those conclusions are:
- Your body is resilient and will heal itself given the right environment
- The right environment includes proper hydration, real food, stress/toxin reduction, and proper rest.
- Fad diets and superfoods are a myth — they are temporary and not sustainable.
- Your brain (thoughts and beliefs)…
