I Never Feel Lonely — Here’s Why
Of course, this epiphany comes to me on Valentine’s day…
Recently the topic of loneliness has come up a lot when chatting with my friends. They have been telling me they are feeling lonely — and I realized that I don’t feel lonely.
I can empathize with them, and understand how hard that must feel, but I can’t presently relate, because I never feel lonely. I love being alone, adore it! Is something wrong with me???
At first, I figured I never felt lonely and chalked it up to being an introvert (or something is wrong with me — as I tend to think). When chatting with my friends, we came to the conclusion that it was an introversion and extroversion thing…however, just a few hours ago I had an epiphany that that's not the case…There are definitely introverts that feel lonely and extroverts that don’t feel lonely when they are alone.
I think the reason that people feel lonely, is because they haven’t built up a strength of character yet and gotten to know themselves — which causes you to be comfortable with being alone.
