Intestinal Gas Pain Is A Sign of Built-Up Anger
Your body is trying to tell you something — it’s time to listen.
Have you ever felt that incredible sharp pain in your stomach, that feels like you’re being stabbed, or like you’re giving birth, and it's so damn uncomfortable that it scares you?
Maybe you didn’t know what it was and it sent you spiraling into a catastrophizing frenzy about whether your spleen or your appendix was bursting, or if you had some crazy huge tumor or were bleeding internally! Or maybe you knew exactly what it was — and you knew the only relief is to pass the gas that was trapped in your intestines.
FYI: Fart is a funny word to me — I want you to take me seriously so I’m going to keep it classy and say “pass gas” when I’m referring to farting in this article. I’m serious here people.
Anyway — I have recently had some episodes of gas pain that have been so darn excruciating that they left me calling out in pain, all night long. I was somehow blocked and unable to pass the gas. It was as if I was sealed up at the anus. Again, take me seriously here!
No matter what position I moved into, no matter what yoga pose I did at 2am, I was blocked up and my body was resisting letting that air come out of me.
For fucks sake! I thought to myself.
WHAT DID I EAT?
