It's hard because its easy to see both sides of this. Women have been repressed for years, and we've climbed our way out and had to face adversity in many more ways than men have, especially white men. So, it feels like - it's their turn to show that they can compromise and be self motivated to be better, kinder, more compassionate people.
However, I do think the divide is fucking ridiculous. I think people need to be more empathetic in every way - but these days everyone is so black or white. Women need to understand that this isnt something men can learn over night. I see my partner getting incredibly frustrated and angry, because he was told never to be sad. He's battling himself on the inside every single day as he grows - I can empathize with that because he's taking action steps to grow.
It's different when someone is hateful and can't see the other side - so I'm hoping that with time, there are better support systems in place for men. It feels dangerous without that.
