The One Food I Ate That Brought My Acne Back
I’ve had clear skin for over a decade, but one simple food brought the zits back
Back in high school, I had terrible acne. Of course, that wasn’t unique, but it lingered for many years after I graduated – While everyone else seemed to clear up.
I had zits in what I felt were the least attractive spots – my T zone (between my brows), all over my temples, and on my cheeks near my nose.
Oh, and my chin, of course.
They were bad. All my friends seemed to either have perfectly clear dewy skin or they would get the odd zit and pop it and it would be less apparent.
When I popped mine, because I couldn’t fucking handle staring at that little white-capped mountain, I swelled up like a goddamn volcano.
I have super high histamine responses, always have. When I get a mosquito bite – it looks like a tumor.
And when I pop a zit? What was a couple of millimeters in diameter and was now a solid inch of scarlet red puffiness.
Sometimes I even put a bandaid on my face, lied and told everyone it was a cut.
