Three simple practices to be a much happier person
Here are some takeaways from many years of my own personal research on others and myself.
People always seem to come to me when they need advice or to simply just vent about their issues. It could even be that I just met the person and suddenly, they feel comfortable enough to pour their hearts out to me about their relationship, their health, their business struggles…whatever it might be — I tend to be the go to person.
Thankfully, I love being this person — now more than ever because I finally learned how to set boundaries with my empathy so their problems don’t keep me up at night as I try to solve them like they were my own. It seriously took me 15 years to learn how to let go while still helping. Thats a whole other story though.
Today I want to write about happiness because I’ve noticed how many people are simply just unhappy these days and have this really heavy negativity to them. I mean, there is a really huge negative energy with everything going on it the world right now — so it’s easy to fall into that trap, but if we start to shift that energy as a collective, we will all start to feel better. You may not believe in that, and that's ok, but I wholeheartedly do — I’ve seen enough energy shifting from even a simple sunny day causing everyone to feel better, to witnessing the childlike wonder of kids playing or a just smile from a stranger.
