The things I did to regenerate my liver — with MRI & blood work to prove it

I am not a doctor, but I’ve out-doctored every single physician and specialist I’ve seen in the last decade. I have a huge passion for how the body works and specifically — how to heal the body. I strongly believe that with some knowledge of how the human body works and self-awareness of our own bodies — we are our own best doctors.

I have spent the last 10+ years of my life learning, researching, and using myself as a test bunny. I want to share my findings with you, in case they help — but of course, they won’t be for everyone, so proceed with that in mind! I’ve hacked many things, but have a long way to go — here’s my journey with my liver.

I had no idea I had cysts on my liver — how could I have known? I was young. In my 20s, outwardly very healthy — but apparently, all the alcohol, lack of sleep, and shitty eating in my teens had caught up to me faster than I thought. Perhaps it was because I came from a family of alcoholics and therefore had a weaker liver, to begin with? I could never be sure, but I was sure it played a huge part. Alcohol addiction runs deep in my family's genes.

I wasn’t an alcoholic, but I knew if I ever became powerless to alcohol that it would be a slippery slope. I’m in my 30s now and these days are the only times in my life where I’ve felt any sense of addiction to alcohol, so I nip it in the bud. Back then? It was just all fun and games.
