What you can do right now to have a positive impact on climate change
It’s not too late to take action and the more of us that do and the faster we get started, the better our chances.
Anxiety about our future existence on this planet is higher than ever. We are endlessly bombarded with new information about how if we keep up as we are, the ocean will be dead, water will be scarce, and we will essentially starve or burn up if we don’t take serious action to reverse the damage we have caused — and we have to do it now.
We only have around ten years until the damage we’ve done is irreversible — however, I’m not here to depress and discourage you. I’m here to hopefully inspire you to make a difference because you absolutely can.
I want to validate your anxiety about this big climate issue because it’s completely rational and understandable. It’s not something we can turn a blind eye to, and it’s seriously only up to us to turn it around.
I heard a really great quote today that I want to share with you because I found it so eye-opening. It goes a little something like this:
Turning a blind eye to climate change is like being on a boat with a four diameter foot hole in the bottom, and you’re in a separated room on that same boat with a pinhole leak. You can plug that leak with your finger, but it’s not going to stop the boat from sinking.
